Now it's more powerful than ever before, with an easy-to-use grid system that shows you where your text and bar codes are located on your labels. And the new Windows version goes even further, allowing you to display your labels exactly as they are going to print out. LabelWorks lets you print bar codes, text and graphics in a limitless variety of sizes and styles. The package includes numerous ready-to-use label formats to help you get started printing right away. You can work "stand alone," and type in your label data directly, or have the MicroBiz Controller (or another program) automatically tell LabelWorks which labels you want to print.

Why print your own bar codes?
Although many manufacturers add bar codes to the products they ship, many products still require that you add them yourself. By printing your own bar codes, you ensure that the labels you add will be ready "on demand," look the way you want and contain exactly the information you require.

What kind of control do you have over the label design?
You can print labels of almost any size, from 1/8" up to 14" tall. Many people use standard mailing labels available at local office supply stores (usually 15/16" tall x 3 1/3" wide), although many other sizes are available. Labels can have any number of bar codes for items like inventory and customer numbers and as much descriptive text as you want, such as product names, prices, sizes or any other information.

Can you use your existing printer?
Yes! The Label Works software will work with virtually all dot-matrix printers, (EPSON or IBM graphics compatibility required.) Support is also available for Hewlett-Packard LaserJet and compatible laser printers. The LabelWorks software for Windows accommodates all of the many hundreds of printers supported by Windows.

Please note - if you intend to print a lot of bar codes on a regular basis, we highly recommend that you use a dedicated bar code printer such as the Bar Code Blaster. A dedicated bar code printer will give you better quality and will be able to handle a variety of options. Additionally, many different samples of labels and tags are available for the bar code printers.
